I was not even passing my Chinese Language exam. But the whole school seemed to misunderstand that I was one of the best students in Chinese Language. Maybe it was because I had won a couple of national level essay writing awards at that time.
I was thrilled. Cos at that time, I wanted to "prove" to all teachers and friends that one does not need to have strong foundation in your language to "win" essay writing competition. What you need most is the passion!
Yet, I was fortunate to develop the passion of writing Chinese poems and essay. I felt in love with the "words"; to construct them, word by word (like building Lego blocks), made them into sensible and insensible phrases...at my own style.
That was how I enjoyed writing notes or poems out from these random thoughts.
Unlike my primary and secondary school days, I was reading a lot of books during high school. But none was related to my academic requirement, that is ~ my school exam. But it was one of my enjoyable time in my life. If you have watched the movie DEAD POET SOCIETY, you probably will understand what I meant.
I called it a simple joy.
